The Central Arlington region is comprised of a number of small suburban neighborhoods including the areas of Dalworthington Gardens and Pantego. Dalworthington Gardens has a land area of about 1.8 square miles and was established by the federal government during the Depression as a homestead project. There are currently 2,300 residents who are proud to call Dalworthington Gardens home. Pantego stretches for about 1 square mile and holds a resident population of about 2,300 as well.
Arlington is the new home of the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas Cowboys New Stadium is the working title of a new retractable-roof stadium being built in Arlington, Texas for the National Football League's Dallas Cowboys. It will replace the Texas Stadium, which opened in 1971, as the Cowboys’ home. It will accommodate 80,000, with the possibility for expansion to accommodate 100,000. The new stadium will be the site of the 2012 Super Bowl.
